How to apply?

Ultrasonic Humidifier and a display

Horizontal display open to the back with static or forced cooling

Install the ultrasonic humidifier and R.O. equipment under the display. Contact condensation inside the ducting must be drained away or allowed to flow back to the humidifier. Be aware though, that the water flowing back to the humidifier may be carrying debris from the ducts. All ducts are PVC Ø 40 mm and obtainable from Contronics in the colour white.

The capacity of the humidifier should be 200 g/hour/meter length.

Control the humidifier if applicable with the Contronics HS-91P sensor or HTR-10 (in static displays only). The sensor should be installed as indicated.

Do not install the sensor in a lower position or in the air flowing back to the cooling coil, to prevent water condensating on the sensing element. The air to the humidifier should not be taken from under the display since this air is often contaminated with bacteria. Take the air from the ambient air with an 80 mm PVC tube.

The humidifier should be installed high enough to allow the contents to be drained away during flushing and overflow.

Ultrasonic Humidifier and a duct system

Whenever possible install the ultrasonic humidifier on the low-pressure side of the ducting. Allow at least 200 cm distance from the outlets to the first obstacle. (airflow ca. 2 m/sec.).

Contact condensation inside the outlet pipes of the humidifier must be drained away or allowed to flow back to the humidifier. The outlets should always point slightly upwards to prevent dripping. The pipework must have a length of at least 75 cm.

The humidifier should be controlled by an Contronics DZR-43/HS-91/HK-01. The HS-91 (sensor) must be positioned on a distance of ca. 500 cm from the outlets and the DZR-43 set around 80% RH or such that the humidity at the position of the first obstacle is below 100% to prevent contact condensation. A second hygrostat operating on/off and installed inside the room to be humidified can be connected in series with the HK-01 cable to allow control of the humidity in the room. When the unit is installed on the high-pressure side the drain should have a siphon with a waterblock equalling the dynamic pressure inside the duct (100 Pa = 1 cm). When the unit is installed parallel to the high-pressure side, the dynamic pressure inside the duct should not exceed 300 Pa.

Ultrasonic Humidifier and a (cold) room

The ultrasonic humidifier and R.O. equipment must be installed inside a coldroom in the following conditions:

RH < 99%

T > 0 ºC

In all other conditions it can be installed on top or on the outside of the coldroom, but the ambient conditions must be:

RH < 99%

T > 0 ºC and < 40 ºC

Contact condensation inside the ducting must be drained away or allowed to flow back to the humidifier when the humidifier is in a lower position. The outlets should be just behind the evaporator of the coldroom and have a length of at least 75 cm. The humidifier may be controlled on the humidifier control panel itself in combination with a HS-91P.

Or

From a distance with a DZR-45/HS-91/HK-01

Or

Inside the coldroom with a HTR-10.

Or

Any 0-10 volt signal with an HK-01 cable from an external controller/computer.
